    metallic cartridge revolver; .36 inch calibre; octagonal barrel; six-shot; centrefire [converted to centrefire from percussion]; brass trigger guard; additional side-loading gate and ejector rod; spent case removal rod on right-hand side; rammer underneath barrel; two-piece wooden grips, chipped at base and large chip missing on left hand side, some wood missing, central washer has been forced and has enlarged the recess
