  • Description

    Figurine head. Mould made. Wearing jaguar headdress. Only the eyes with feathered surrounds, nose and mouth survive, the top and sides being broken out. Plain face, lidded and rimmed eyes, rounded nose, full lips, thick edged earspools with indented centres. Segmented collar of three bands. Medallion with two bosses on each side worn on chest. Flat remnants beside collar and below medallion suggests figure may have been recessed in frame.

    V-shaped break across shoulders and chest. White pigment on front and back. Red pigment on lips of jaguar and on chest below collar.
