  • Description

    Figurine head. Mould made. 'Tlaloc'. Segmented turban-style headdress of a grid of rows of squarish segments on the crown and three tiered feather panache ( all the top tier and part of the second and third broken off). The band across the forehead consists of compressed semi-discs with a raised sphere and upright elongate element a centre feature. Both earspools with a raised central dot survive though both are damaged. Wearing eye rings over lidded and rimmed eyes.

    Nose end abraded, mouth straight, lipped and open. Back concave. Broken through one earspool, across the neck and the other side. Red, yellow and white pigment on the front, patches of white (and possibly red) on the back.
