  • Description

    Adorno, ceramic for an incense burner or theatre-type censer. Mould made. Circular four pedalled flower motif with a fringe of feathers around the outer edge and a hollow centre. The inner edge on the back has a scraped appearance. On the front the inner petals of the flower are highlighted with red pigment, the raised edging of the petals is now largely uncoloured but with traces of yellow, while the feather fringe is coloured with yellow pigment.
