    "This exceptional 0.925 Sterling Silver medal commemorates the 25th Anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan. It is one of no more than two thousand that will be produced by the Royal Australian Mint in conjunction with the Australian War memorial.

    "A symbol of not only the battle, but of the commitment and sacrifice of all Australians from all services who fought in the Vietnam War between 1962 - 1972.

    "This certificate guarantees that your medallion has been individually minted and hand inspected to ensure it is free of flaws and of the highest possible quality. Its finish and limited mintage assure you of an outstanding addition to your collection.

    From: Certificate of Authenticity, signed Dame Beryl Beaurepaire AC, DBE Chairman, Council of the Australian War Memorial and Senator Bob McMullan Master of the Mint.

    "On the 18th August 1966 the fiercest battle involving Australians in the Vietnam War began in a rubber plantation called Long Tan.
