    bronze medal; 36mm diameter; ornate scrolled swivelling suspender; one bar; with ribbon

    obverse: veiled and crowned bust of Queen Victoria; legend around: VICTORIA REGINA ET IMPERATRIX.

    reverse: an Indian soldier and a British soldier supporting a flag (Royal Standard); legend around (below): INDIA 1895

    bars: straight with fish-tail ends supported by rosette

    bars: RELIEF OF CHITRAL 1895
