    Medal awarded to Rifleman Semnarain Rana, 2nd Ghurka Regiment

    bronze five-pointed star with a ball between all the points except the two uppermost where is fixed a crown; ring suspension; with ribbon

    obverse: at centre is the monogram V.R.I around which is a raised circular band; on this border in raised lettering around the top: KABUL TO KANDAHAR; date below: 1880

    reverse: plain

    ribbon: a rainbow pattern of red, white, yellow, white, yellow, white, blue

    medal named verso: RIFLEMAN SEMNARAIN RANA . * 2D GOORKHA REGT. *
