Medal awarded to 15976 Rifleman Max Eggirt Ramm, New Zealand Rifle Brigade, NZEF.
Labourer Max Eggirt Ramm (born Parenga), son of Mrs FL Ramm of Auckland, embarked with the NZRB 6th Reinforcements sailing from Wellington on 26th July 1916 to serve on the Western Front. Four years later, on 26th May 1920 aged 26 years, Max died of wounds received during the war and was buried at Waikumete Cemetery, Auckland.
