    Tairiiri. Fan. Composite tairiiri woven from kikau ou (coconut leaf) with dyed-red overlaid apuraka (giant swamp taro) akamanea (decoration), dyed-red kiriau (hibiscus fibre) akaverevere (fringe), attached to a mauranga (handle) rakau (wooden). The blade is in shape of an inverted triangle. Plaited commencement at centre base of the blade. Woven out in vertical twilled-2 from the centre to form lower edge and sides of blade.

    Dyed-red overlaid strips of apuraka form pattern pa motu (islet), along the top of the blade. Dyed-red kiriau woven into the top edge of the blade forming the akaververe. Mauranga is of rakau ngangie (wood from the Suriana tree).
