Ei. Necklace consisting of pupu (shells) rengarenga (Yellow necklace-shell, Orobophana pacifica) and white/yellow pupu raroara (Melampus flavus). The pupu are bored and strung in a pattern of approximately 50-60 pupu rengarenga alternating with sets of two pupu raroara on white cotton thread forming the ei. The pupu raroara are bored and strung towards their narrow wends. A piece of red and white cloth fabric is tied around the ei. Ei may be worn looped once.

Ei. Long Necklace. Personal adornment. Consisting of pupu rengarenga (yellow necklace-shell, Orobophana pacifica shell), raroara (Melampus flavus), and possibly popoe (oval white coloured seeds). There are three seeds. The pupu (shells) and seeds are bored, with red coloured cotton thread threaded through the holes forming the ei (necklace).
