    Seed and shell necklace (English)

  • Description

    Ei. Necklace. Personal adornment consisting of blue-grey ua (seeds) poepoe (Job's Tears, Coix lacryma-jobi) and pupu rengarenga (Yellow necklace-shell, Orobophana pacifica shell). The ua and pupu are bored and threaded on nylon taura tautai (fishing line). The ei is threaded, one ua poepoe followed by one pupu rengarenga for the entirity of the ei. Ei may be worn looped once. Two of the pupu are coloured red and white.
