    Adze (English)

  • Description

    Toki. Adze. Multipurpose tool used for carving wood and other materials. Carved from toka (stone). Dark grey in colour. Trapezoidal in cross-section. Cutting edge is dull. Bevel surface is concave. Sides are pecked. Front of the blade is rounded, mostly polished. Slight shoulder. Reduced from the shoulder towards the butt. Butt left pecked. Poll left flaked.
