This spoon is part of a cutlery set that belonged to C Reginald Ford, a member of the 1901-1904 Antarctic expedition, and bears initials of donor 'CRF'. On his return to New Zealand C Reginald Ford gave lantern slide lectures about the expedition. He also kept a personal journal "Sledge Journey"
