  • Description

    Te kai ni katebe. Bow. This toy version of a kai ni batebe is carved from te uri wood and strung with commercial European cord. it is curved in profile. Along the length of the shaft are six wrappings of baa ni kaina (pandanus leaves) secured with te kora. At each terminal end of the kai ni batebe a small piece of fabric is wrapped around the tip. The kai ni batebe is brown and natural in colour.
