    spectacles and case

    hard wooden case with an outer of green leather [shagreen], hinged lid, with a metal lip at hinge-point, and metal piece on top of lid, push button release; spectacles have sterling silver frame with hinged arms, small round lenses; hallmark on arms and nose-bridge joins - "IP", the Birmingham Assay Office anchor, and sterling silver lion, other hallmarks are worn.
