  • Description

    lamp, oil. The object is a Persian oil lamp with a circular oil chamber. The rim is flared truncating down to the neck. The nozzle is horizontal with a open groove for a wick. There is a vertical loop handle attached to the neck and shoulder. The object has no pattern but has a turquoise glaze. The rim lip and nozzle tip are badly chipped. The Fabric is a brownish grey clay. There is note inside the object saying 'Persian'.
