    Shield

    Made from leather, metal, and rope. A circular shape with conical peak at centre. the body of the shield is made from brown leather with some warps and stress in the leather. There are 2 visible rips in the leather. 4 applied thin metal shapes to the edges where the leather has torn, the metal patches are nailed through and have incised designs of boarders and triangles. The central peak has a 4 pieces of leather rope that pass through and secure a handle to the reverse of the shield. The leather on the reverse has a rough texture. The reverse also has metal applied repairs to the shield and visible leather stitched. The reverse centre has a leather handle across the peak with cord and leather rope securing it in place
