    Te kai ni moi. Long handled ladle. A domestic implement made with a half cut te nana (coconut shell) with a natural peak at its base as the bowl lashed with te ira n atu (human hair) to a long wooden handle, curved in profile and oval in cross section. The handle has a smooth, matte surface treatment. This kai ni moi would not have been used for everyday use.
