    Te mwae te ntabo. Spondylus shell neck ornament. This mwae (Neck ornament) features a red, irregularly shaped te ntabo (spondylus shell) which is perforated and strung on to a fine cord of te nimwaerere (human hair and coconut sennit blend). The outer surface of the ntabo is naturally bumpy in texture and red in colour while the underside is white ink colour. Ntabo are highly sought after due to their red colour.
