    Te nuota. Belt of human hair. The nuota is a girdle adornment tied around the waist as part of dance costumes for performers. It is very long in length. Made of te ira n atu (human hair), the strands are braided and knotted together to increase the overall length. Each braid of te ira n atu is approximately 12mm in width. This nuota is dark in colour.
