    handmade German Paratroopers commemorative wall plaque presented to members of 21 Battalion who attended the 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Crete, plus label. Plaque features an impressed German Armed Forces Parachutist Badge (which was worn by qualified paratroopers), with the word 'CRETA' below. Plaque was previously displayed at 21 Battalion clubrooms.

    Typewritten label reads: THIS HAND MADE GERMAN PARATROOPERS WALL PLAQUE WAS PRESENTED TO MEMBERS OF THE 21st BATTALION ATTENDING THE 50th ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATION SERVICE AT MALEME, CRETE MAY 20 1991 BY AN EX PARATROOPER - HERR WILHELM SCHINDLER LACHENDORF GERMANY. HERR SCHINDLER SERVED IN CRETE AND NORTH AFRICA BEFORE LOSING HIS LEFT ARM AT LENINGRAD, RUSSIA.
