    trench art aluminium matchbox holder with partial pack of BEEHIVE SAFETY MATCHES. Holder made by Pat Flynn, 21 Battalion, while a POW in Italy. Rectangular holder with engraved and punched border; obverse features an embedded NZ Onward badge and inscription 'PAT FLYNN / 21 BAT'; spine of holder inscribed 'PRISONER OF WAR / ITALY 1941-4'; verso inscribed with Egyptian scene. Matchbox contains 9x live matches.
