Each earring is formed with two pieces of bone that have been shaped in to a tapered point and a jagged protrusion and then lashed together with [waxed linen]thread in criss crosses through corresponding drill holes on the long side of each piece. The top of the point piece has a drill hole in which a jump ring is threaded and attached to that is a bend wire earring hook.
