    Made from porcelain. The bowl has a circular flared rim, raised sides, and a small circular foot. The bowl is decorated with handpainted designs in polychrome enamel. The decorations are of poppies and cherries in green, pink and yellow, with a brinjal background. Part of a series made to celebrate the 60th birthday of Empress Tz'u Hsi in 1894, marked with seal cartouche with rounded corners and two dragons below the rim with Chinese characters "tian di yi jia chun (heaven and earth/one family/spring)", also has a Chinese mark within the decoration saying "da ya zhai (Abode of Grand Culture or Studio of the Grand Elegance)" which is the name of the Empresses studio, also has four character base mark "yong xing/chang chun (everlasting blessings/eternal spring)" cf National Place Museum, Taipei #4661
