  • Description

    potsherd, rim fragment. Pale coloured clay fragment. Fragment is short rim section with black band painted on the outside and descending black lozenges on the inside. Narrow horizontal bands of black painted just below rim and connected with parallel vertical rings. this pattern is repeated 25mm below. between the two "ladder" bands is a thin horizontal band with adjacent lozenge shapes arranged horizontally. Smaller concentric lozenges are drawn on each.

    It appears this pattern may be repeated a third time below the second "ladder" band.
