    The Rangitikei-Manawatu Block was the disputed claim between Ngati Raukawa as conquerors and Ngati Apa as the disposesed, where Ngati Apa managed to sell the land to the Government. Ngati Raukawa had allowed Ngati Apa to be allocated rent money for the land leases but not its possession.
