With a view to the future : the Auckland Museum has always been developed and shaped throughout its life by the generosity of Auckland individuals, families and businesses

documentary heritage
  • Description

"The With a View to the Future campaign was created by the Museum Circle Foundation to raise the funds for the roof of the Grand Atrium. The contributing Patrons have their names etched on the glass panels supporting the copper dome.

This book holds the stories of those names - families that came to New Zealand and Auckland. Why they came and how, what they achieved and what changes they have seen. They have written their own stories - all are unique and as Patron of the Museum Circle Foundation, I congratulate the trust on the successful completion of a wonderful community project."--foreword by Sir Edmund Hillary
