Te Reo Maori: A guide to the study of the Maori Language

documentary heritage
  • Description

This book is the result of many years's study and twenty years' teaching practice. It is an honest endeavour to place in the hands of the beginner a course which is easily followed and mastered. The phraseology is that of the teacher to the student. Everyday words have been used frequently to add to the interest, and to increase the vocabulary of spoken Maori, which is at present so pitifully limited.

The Maori as well as the European will profit by the study of this book.

No vocabulary is appended, since every opportunity for repetition is given in the groups. No student is properly equipped without a copy of "Williams's Maori Dictionary".
