First lessons in Maori

documentary heritage
  • Other Name

First lessons in Maori by W.L. Williams (Series)

  • Description

For the eleventh edition alterations were made in the grammatical terminology, especially in dealing with the Maori verb, so as to present it in the form used in English textbooks.

For the thirteenth edition it has been considered desirable to retain as far as possible the character and approach of a work that has stood for many years as a standard book and a classic of its kind. The major change is the addition of macrons to indicate the length of vowel sounds.--foreword
