Te reo rangatira : a course in Maori for sixth and seventh forms

documentary heritage
  • Description

In Te Reo Rangatira, the author Mr T. S. Karetu, as a native speaker, combines insight into the Maori language with skill and experience in the teaching of languages in secondary schools. The book is written in the Tuhoe dialect. Its subject is contemporary Maori life with those aspects of the Maori heritage which prevail in it. In writing this textbook, Mr Karetu has filled a very real need and demand.

Special recognition must be given to the late Mrs Beth Ranapia for her aroha and dedication to the Maori Language generally and to Te Reo Rangatira in particular.--preface
