    Momoe Malietoa Von Reiche was born in Western Samoa. She received her primary education in Samoa then attended Nelson Girls' College, Wellington Teachers' College and Victoria Univerity, New Zealand.
    She specialised in art at Teachers' College and the Wellington Polytechnic School of Design. In 1966, she returned to Western Samoa where, for four years, she taught art at the Teachers' Training College. She is a mother of seven children... This is her first collection of poems to be published'--publishers' blurb on back cover.
