    Includes displays under the headings: Biological Department (stuffed foreign birds and animals, bird skins), Physical Department (includes Edison-bell telephone communicating with Onehunga, electric fire alarms, electric lights), Mechanical Department (includes a potters throwing lathe and numbering and paging machine, all run from a two horse power water machine), Scientific Apparatus (includes Remington's Type-writing machine and surveying equipment) and Miscellaneous (includes an exhibition by Sir George Grey of rare books and manuscripts). Library display of illustrated works of natural history.
