    Facsimile of a handwritten letter, produced by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee, London, at the beginning of the First World War. Addressed to the householder, asking them to forward the names of those willing to enlist for the war. Urges a positive response to help the Allies end the war. Dated December, 1914. Signed: "We are, your obedient servants," followed by signatures of the three "Presidents". Includes original envelope.

    Envelope addressed to: Mr A Miller, 145 Greenford Avenue, Hanwell. Postmark date: Dec. 8, 1914.
