    Provenance: Most of the Busby collection was received on deposit from Mrs Elsie Mary McQueen Wynne-Lewis (nee Canning), of Paihia, Bay of Islands, and two other trustees - James Busby, of "Maungatarata", Tokomaru Bay; and John Busby, of "Rahiri", Tokomaru Bay, and also Miss Agnes Busby, over a period of several years from 1956 to 1958, per Dr Gilbert Archey. The bulk of the deposited material was received in 1956 and 1958 respectively. [see correspondence filed under 'Busby' held at MUS-2003-81]
