Charles John Abraham (1814-1903) was the first Bishop of Wellington consecrated in 1857. In England, Abraham was heavily involved in educational reform at Eton. He came to New Zealand in 1850 with Bishop Selwyn and acted as Archdeacon of Waitemata from 1853-1858
