Letter from Thomas H. Bartley to James Busby, November 29, 1850

documentary heritage
  • Description

Bartley thanks Busby for sending him a copy of his pamphlet. Busby's pamphlet denounced Governor Grey's position against 'old' land grants issued under Governor Fitzroy, such as those in which Archdeacon Henry Williams was in possession. Bartley writes of his support for Busby in his defence of Williams. An excerpt from the text reads: 'You have in my estimation done right and the Archdeacon could not have been in better hands.'
