Subject Notes
Reverend Robert Burrows (1812-1897) served the Church Missionary Society in New Zealand from 1840 until his death in 1897. His position at Waimate North meant that he was an eye-witness to the Flagstaff War and his diary of events from 1844 - 1846 is a key insight into that period of New Zealands history
