    Regarding the act of War, and a Christian education against it. Excerpt from the text reads "You will learn many things from your Bible connected with that prayer ' thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven' for then all will be peace an the nations will learn war no more" Chapman goes on to preach on the subject of Patience and Idle hands, telling Williams he must never be idle, but, like the rose bud, grow a little every day.

    Thomas Chapman immigrated to New Zealand in 1830 with his wife, Anne. He is said to have learnt Te Reo Maori quickly and with skill, a skill he used to translate large sections of the Old Testament. Chapman and his wife founded the mission station at Rotorua where they stayed for most of their lives.
