Letter from Christopher Davies to Henry Davies, August 19, 1859

documentary heritage
  • Description

Davies intention in this letter was to remind Williams of the sacrifice made by Jesus Christs in order to absolve the sins of mankind. Davies goes on to implore Williams to think about that sacrifice when reflecting on his life and actions. This was presumably written in relation to Henry Williams reluctance to relinquish his worldly possessions (land) as instructed by the Church Missionary Society.
