    Typescript copy of a letter from Governor George Grey to Reverend Henry Venn, in regard to missionary land claims and ownership. Governor Grey appeals to Reverend Venn and the newly appointed Bishop to remove those families who he believed acquired land in excess. Grey supports his opinion by suggesting these private land holding stir up animosity between settlers and Maori and are a cause for further land wars.
