    Forwarding upon instruction from the Local Committee of the Northern District a Resolution relating to the considered removal of the Kemp Family from the Kerikeri mission station. It was resolved that 'in consequence of the age and serious indisposition of Mrs Kemp, they do not see any prospect of Mr. Kemp being able to remove to the locality contemplated.'

    The Kemps refused a transfer after the closing of the Kerikeri mission station due in large part to the poor health of Charlotte Kemp. The family lived in their old mission house until Charlottes death in 1860.
