Letter from Henry Williams, Chairman of the Northern District Committee, to Reverend R. Burrows, July 31, 1849

documentary heritage
  • Description

Confronting Reverend Burrows as to how and why the Parent Committee came to think he occupied the office of Secretary of the Northern District and address him as such in letters. Williams believed the misinformation 'emanated directly or indirectly' from Mr. Burrows himself. This letter served to remind Burrows of his position in the Mission and to respect the seniority of Williams and his office.

A list of 'Regulations to be observed for the Native Girls School' is attached.
