    Regarding the Taranaki Question. Williams writes of Dr Martin having taken up the matter, and of forwarding to him information on Maori Rights and Law. The Taranaki Question' refers to the conflicts that began when the Te Atiawa Chief Te Teira Manuka offered to sell land at Waitara to the Government.
