documentary heritage
  • Description

An account of some of the principal family events which had taken place at Pakaraka. Firstly, Henry Williams writes of the opening of their drag road on April 10, and the launch of their new vessel the Osprey on April 13. He writes of Jane Williams having named the vessel, and the unfortunate event of the bottle of brandy falling short without smashing on the bow.

He writes of the postponement of John's wedding to Sarah Busby, delayed because the wedding dresses failed to arrive by the Herald, and the family coming down with the measles.
