    Red Army Book - 64 Soldier's Pay Book for use on Active Service, issued to Private Leonard John Armstrong, 2 October 1914. Alongside the Record of Cash Payments are 'Instructions to Soldiers', as well as details of Armstrong's Station, Company and Rank. The book includes a section for recording a soldier's Next-of-Kin, and a section recording Promotions, Appointments, Reductions, and any Casualty affecting the net Daily Rate of Pay.
