Letter from William Williams to Mary Williams (nee Marsh), December 24, 1823

documentary heritage
  • Description

Williams writes to his mother of the bible society meeting. Dr [Keinkoph] was one of the speakers, however, Williams only reccounts Dr [Keinkoph's] tales from his recent trip to Germany, which were told to Williams at dinner, including his witnessing the extention of the kingdom of Ghent.

Williams then writes of Edwards (possibly Edward Gerrard Marsh) speech about the many languages of the world, and of Mr Bartlets speech, which illustrated the good accomplished and to be expected.

On the final page is a note from Jane Nelson. She requests Mrs Williams send her the name of the author or composer of Miss Dahswood's singing book. She also writes of Maria.
