Photographs (both black and white and colour) of Sir Edmund Hillary and Lady Louise Hillary on a lecture tour travelling and sightseeing in Japan. Images from Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo. Annotations by Lady Louise Hillary.

    Includes images of visits to different branches of the Japanese Alpine Club as well as images of Expo '70, the first World's Fair held in Japan.

    Ephemera includes printed and hand painted postcards, a selection of business cards from Japan, some have been annotated by Lady Hillary alongside other notes and mementos.
