Inscribed on verso: "To Nessie, With love & best wishes for Christmas from Dora" [nd] Items 4 and 5 -- New Year's greeting cards (10.5 x 7 cm), one dated 1874. Item 6 -- Almanack in the shape of a fan for the calendar year 1874 (11.5 cm). Item 7 -- Christmas greeting card (8 x 14 cm) inscribed "To papa from Mavis & Gracie" [nd] Item 8 -- Embroidered paper bookmark with purple silk backing (14 x 5.5 cm) with text "To One I Love" [nd] Item 9 -- Embroidered paper bookmark with blue silk backing (20.5 x 6.5 cm) with text "Behold The Book Whose Leaves Display Jesus The Life, The Truth, The Way" [nd] Item 10 -- Embroidered paper bookmark with purple silk backing (20.5 x 6.5 cm) with text "May You And I In Glory Meet, And Cast Our Crown At Jesus Feet" [nd] Item 11 -- Miniature leather satchel (40 x 43 mm) designed for holding a chapbook. Item 12 -- Notebook of blank leaves (20 x 17 cm.) with German illustrations (possibly early 19th c.) as a wrapper; front , "Der Schwan"; back, "Der geangelte hut" (the fished hat). In which one newspaper cutting has been pasted [nd] referring to Mr R. White of Wellington who has a collection of silhouettes, inherited from his father.
