    A series of 14 letters written by 15/209 Major-General Sir George Spafford Richardson from Gallipoli, Salonika and England to his friend Captain C.E. [Charles Ernest] Archibald in New Zealand, covering a period from 25 January 1915 to 10 July 1922. One of the letters is a copy originally sent by Richardson to Captain E.D. Bell in New Zealand, dated 22 January 1917.

    Also included is a Royal Naval Division Christmas card, dated 1915-16, designed by Sgt. B.G. Tomkins, R.M.L.I. [CH/10268 Sergeant Bertram Gordon Tomkins, Royal Marine Light Infantry], and produced "in the Field", sent by Richardson to Archibald.
