    12/250 Private William Carlton enlisted at Dargaville, New Zealand, and left with the Main Body, 1NZEF, on 16 October 1914. He served with the 15th (North Auckland) Company, Auckland Infantry Battalion, at Gallipoli, where he was fatally wounded on 6 May 1915.
